United Way of Broward and Miami-Dade Counties benefit from an overnight cruise Nov. 29-30 on Royal Caribbean International's newest ship, Oasis of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship.

The one-night charity cruise out of Port Everglades gives contributors an opportunity to be among the first to experience the new vessel and mingle with community leaders as they partake in round-the-clock entertainment including receptions and theatrical performances.

Mahoney & Associates and New York Life Insurance Company are the presenters of the charity cruise.

The 220.000-ton Oasis of the Seas has 16 decks, carries 5,400 guests at double occupancy and features the cruise line's new neighborhood concept of seven distinct themed areas.

To accommodate the world's largest cruise ship, Port Everglades is more than tripling the size of Passenger Terminal 18, making it reportedly the largest single-ship cruise terminal in the world.

The new $75 million expansion will feature 3,000 seats, a 3,000-square-foot inlaid bronze globe by artist Michele Oka Doner, a children's playground area, free wireless Internet and accessible outlets to recharge electronic devices.

Staterooms and sponsorships for the United Way benefit cruise range from $1,000 to $100,000. Visit www.unitedwayoasiscruise.org.
